I purchased this 357 used in 1974. It is a model 14 but I cannot find a serial number on it. Did Dan Wesson ever produce any without one was I "had" at 19 years old. Anonymous - Pre war Sportsman have 5 digit serial numbers. Very early 1932-33 had a D Prefix then from mid 1933 thru 1939 they had the 5 digit.
